Come and celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with family, friends or colleagues. You can enjoy our Christmas Menu, for £125 per person. We require a £50pp deposit to secure this reservation Please note this is the only menu available. We offer a full refund policy if the booking is cancelled 1 week before. Your reservation is subject to 2 hours return time. No No Club D&D discount on Christmas Day.

Arrived early but was seated straight away whilst I waited for my friend Service was prompt and not at all pushy Food was lovely, not eaten here before Really enjoyable evening, will most definitely come again!!

Comfortable table for a business meeting on first floor. Really interesting menu of hearty food dishes enjoyed by my guests. Service was polite and efficient. Try some of the German dishes. The salmon starters are tasty.

Great food and wine. Special thanks to our waitress for her friendly professional service, she was able to anticipate what we needed at the right time.

Eroding quality of food and service. We have been coming here for years and I can’t see that we will be back for a long time

A really enjoyable birthday lunch - the waiter was great, the food delicious and in the right quantities, and the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable.

Very busy at breakfast time on Thursday - closeness to rail stations accounts for some of this.

Lovely place and delicious food. We were eating earlier but we were given a lovely table in the bar area and stayed far longer than planned because it was such a lovely place

We ate in the downstairs cafe. The welcome was nice by front of house but once seated we were forgotten! The waiting staff were very slow to take our drinks order, which they only did when they came over eventually to take our food order! A couple of meals (hot dog and shinkenknacker) were very good, but the Wiener schnitzel was awful - thin, tough, tasteless and coating coming off it (overpriced too at £29.50) and the curry wurst was a child’s portion! The children’s fish and chips was ok. The ladies toilets smell of sewage too - no, they hadn’t just had someone in who had “used” them! My daughter has been on a few occasions previously (and sat upstairs which she said is a lovely place to have cocktails) and when she’s been the toilets have smelt dreadful on each occasion - and yesterday was no different. For a family outing, it was, overall, a bit of a disappointment.

Dear Sally, Thank you for your recent visit and your detailed feedback. Please accept our most sincere apologies, that no one took your drinks order, as it is a standard to do so and we failed on this occasion. Our Wiener Schnitzel is made the traditional way, where the breadcrumbs are not pressed into the meat, I'm sorry you found it on the bland side.
