Went for Christmas dinner. Reservation was at 6. Didn’t get seated until after 630. Food was mid at best. Very underwhelming.

We dines at Geoffrey’s for Christmas dinner. There was a pre-fixe menu with several options. Dinner was $99.00 per person for an appetizer, main, and dessert. We were seated at an outside table for 2 with an oceanfront view. The heating torches were on so it is lovely. Our server was very attentive and the food was delicious. We may die here again to see the sunset before we go back to Florida. I highly recommend.

Wait staff was fine but the front of the restaurant was not trained well. Forgot about us and then suggested we miscommunicated with them. Then handed us a buzzer and told us to wait until it went off but told us our party wasn’t all here when I asked why there were seating folks that came in behind us. Yet they still handed us a buzzer. Waited over 30 minute for a 5:15 reservation. Apps and main were good, desert was not

Christmas dinner was poor. Very slow service and mediocre food. Not up to Geoffrey's usual standards.

Our waiter Jason was great and the food was amazing as usual. You can’t beat Geoffrey’s for Christmas as far as we are concerned. 4th year in a row and might be getting better every time if that’s even possible.

I want to share my experience with Geoffrey's honestly. I had made a reservation online with OpenTable about a week ago. I liked the fact that they offered a special pre-fixed Christmas Dinner. Originally, I had made a reservation at 3 pm but on the event date, I called and changed the time to 3:30 pm considering the unusual traffic jam (accident on PCH) from Los Angeles. We arrived around 3:15 pm, and three of us sat at the table. The atmosphere and settings were good enough. However, it took longer than usual for the waiter to show up at the table as we were getting starved. When the waiter showed up, he gave us the menu, and I told him that we were getting a special Christmas dinner. Then we were told the kitchen wouldn't be prepared for dinner until 4:00 pm. I assumed that people at the scene were having brunch. So that was about 45 minutes from when we sat at the table. I became frustrated because there was no indication/caution about Christmas dinner not being served at 3 or 3:30 pm. I went to the front desk hostess and explained the situation. She told me she understood and was sorry for the confusion and would push the serving time sooner to accommodate us. But it was all empty /false promises as the different waiter showed up at our table about 10 minutes later. Shortly after, a guy who looked like the manager came by the table, apologized for the delay and confusion, and offered us bread. To summarize, it was 4:30 pm when the dinner was finally served. The steak was overcooked even though it was supposed to be a medium well. Scallops and a crab cake were good, however. To summarize, the whole experience was subpar, with not attentive table service and only some bread offered by the house. There should have been a big discount(50%) or the whole treatment from the restaurant as we wasted our time and effort getting there and being served mediocre food and bad service. I won't be going back there for sure.

Wonderful, we received a table overlooking the ocean, it was a moderately chilly day so the patio heaters were all out and the staff was periodically checking that we were comfortable. The food was very good and served hot and our cocktails chilled and filled. A fantastic holiday brunch.

Our family Christmas plans changed last minute and we were looking for a place to get a Christmas Day reservation. We had the Prix Fixe Brunch Menu and it was spectacular. Everything from the bisque to the tuna tartar and crab cake appetizers to the filet and salmon entrees was wonderful. The view was, as expected, a fabulous ocean view, and our server, Wilson, was impeccable and made our experience even better. We cannot wait to go back again.

Christmas brunch for two totalled $270 (two pre fix with one one drink and one tea). The only offering was pre fix, which made sense when the food was served in that it tasted like food from a buffet rather than fine dining. My wife's omelet in terms of presentation looked like it was from a Denny's, the sweet-potato appetizer I had was undercook and poorly seasoned (didn't eat 70% of it), and my scallops had salt/grit in nearly every bite. Beautiful view and venue, but the restaurant has clearly given up on the food and now just charges based on location.
