    Wow, what a wonderful experience at Gallo's! Started with the bibb lettuce and pear salad. It was so crisp and paired perfectly with the delicious, light lemon dressing. I couldn't decide between the scialatielli and the spaghetti pasta dishes so the waitress suggested half portions of each and boy am I glad to have had the opportunity to try them. Spaghetti may sound average but this was from from it because the spaghetti is swirled in a wheel of parmesean with cherry tomatoes and garlic, divine. The pappardelle with short rib and the rigatoni with fillet mignon received rave reviews from my fellow diner. The staff was very attentive but not annoying. This is the best dining experience that we have had in CT. We chose Gallo's for the proximity to the Playhouse but will return for the delicious food in the future.

    The calamari appetizer was tender and perfectly fried to a light golden brown. The stuffed artichokes with pancetta, spinach and mozzarella was absolutely delicious. The play of textures and flavors in the risotto with pears, walnuts and gorgonzola was mouthwatering as was the use of corn in the Calamarata with lobster and shrimp.
