Occupant l'historique Merritt House sur Highland Avenue, le Galley and Garden a fait l'objet de travaux de rénovation durant l'été 2014, rehaussant la splendeur de la maison d'origine en y ajoutant des touches modernes.     Our evening at Galley and Garden was just the start of a birthday weekend for my lady friend. Our server recommended a cocktail for her which she really enjoyed. And then we got to the incredible food! My sweetheart enjoyed scallops piccata and I had the beef short rib. Both were very delicious! In short, we had a great evening!

    Enjoyed our first experience to the restaurant. Our waitress phallen was outstanding. She was very attentive, polite, and knowledgeable. She did a fabulous job. The manager Stan was also very helpful. The only downside was the food was just ok. Except for the deserts they were fabulous.

    A really nice restaurant with a lot of flavors and food options. Our waitress really knew the menu well and made some great recommendations. What is really nice is the lack of crowd noise there. Some of the steak houses in town are just really loud. This was almost like sitting at your dinner table and being able to have a conversation. So great food, great wine, great atmosphere.

    We were seated in the bar area, yet the entire dining room was basically empty. Our order was wrong, the restaurants attempt to correct was feble and incorrect. The food was not worth half the price charged. 2 employees in the bar were enjoying no work for almost 3 hours. There was only 1 table with 2 women outside of our table of 4, yet mistake after mistake. Just VERY DISAPPOINTING. Ẁe had friends from Indiana here and thought this was the place to treat them. . . We were wrong. Or maybe they were just having s bad night. Regardless a costly mistake. Oh... and to top it off... the valet returned or car and walked off... just required the ladies to walk into traffic and open their own doors. but...... he did find it so important to tell us they were now open 7 days a week and we're offering Sunday brunch. Regardless, not a good experience at all.

    Excellent atmosphere and fantastic service. The duck pot pie was delicious. Had an amazing date night and will for sure come again.

    This is a lovely choice for the Birmingham restaurant scene. The restaurant is in a beautiful old mansion. There are different dining areas all throughout the home. Tables are adorned with white tablecloths. It is a nice choice amongst all the other competition and Birmingham. Great place to conduct a job interview. Noise level, considerably low throughout restaurant. Only complaint was that server did not remove and bring new silverware for each course. Which I would’ve expected in a fine dining establishment

    Lovely dining experience each time! This week was my in-laws 54th anniversary and taking them to Galley and Garden was such a special treat for them. The team made them feel special and they adored the food

    The short ribs are always my favorite! The wine selections to pair with each entree are also delicious and well-chosen.
