Ambience is good. Food is excellent. Staff is professional and friendly. Only downside is 3.5% processing fee for credit cards.

This remains a have-to when visiting Galena. The food is AMAZING and it was the best service we experienced during our stay.

We had a great experience at Fried Green Tomatoes Restaurant tonight! The service was fantastic, the food was so good, and we didn’t want for anything! Our server Carly was the best and so was your whole team! Would definitely recommend eating here.

Fried greens is one of our favorite placed to dine in the entire Galena area. The food is consistently awesome. I try to change my meals when we go, but it gets hard when the last meal I had was so great… I just want to order it again. I have never been disappointed with a meal I choose. We love Fried Green Tomatoes. Did I mention the staff is so friendly and very helpful. You will never have an empty water glass or a dirty plate on the table for long. The staff is always on it. Great job!!!!! Mark P.

Delicious dining experience. Food and service was outstanding. Kind of loud for a nice dinner atmosphere. Mostly noise came from a couple of tables, and it wasn’t as loud when they left the restaurant. Really fantastic Aperol Spritz cocktail!

It was our anniversary. They gave us a free dessert to cap off our wonderful me.

Downtown Galena, IL. Sat overlooking Main St so was able to have a nice dinner and people watch. Ordered the special: filet and lobster tail. Also ordered filet and shrimp. Chicken Flourentine soup was fantastic and the filets and lobster tail were perfect. Shrimp was a little under seasoned. Total bill was around $140 with a top shelf old fashioned.

Host knew it was my GF Bday and no info was transfered to the server. The server took awhile to get to us and had another server stop by and say she will be with us shortly. This was the right thing to do, but if you know your other server is busy then he should of offerd to take a drink order for us. It's all about speed of service. When the server came she was very pleasant, never asked if we dinned here or not, never offered any specialty drinks just can I get you started on something to drink. Then she asked would you like to start with an appetizer again no recommendations. We because waited awhile already had our minds made up. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, ok but the fried tomato was lost w all the cheese and marinara. Keep it classic maybe serve a few fried green tomatoes over arugula w maybe a drizzle of balsamic. The server did recommend the special and talk about it, how ever that was all. We had to ask for bread, it didn't come out until we were half way done w our appetizers. We didn't see much of our server after entrees were dropped. I had meatloaf it was good the chicken marsala was off way to much marsala wine.used and chicken not lightly floured and sautéed into the sauce. Dessert offered but no bday dessert offered. Overall it was ok most likely won't be back. Things to work on Server attentiveness Servers should walk guest through experience Bussers all did great Communication of special occasions Menu recipes
