Le Francesca's on Chestnut est membre du Francesca's Restaurant Group. Situé dans les Seneca Boutique Apartments, le restaurant de 180 places sert sa célèbre cuisine italienne rustique. Le chef, Martin Ontiveros, mène la cuisine et propose les mets classiques épicés du Francesca's, une cuisine du terroir de Rome et des régions avoisinantes de la Toscane. La carte des vins et cocktails spéciaux est toute aussi impressionnante dans cet endroit unique disposant d'un bar à vin caché. Le DiSotto Enoteca se trouve dans le sous-sol de l'établissement. Le Francesca’s Restaurant Group a été fondé en 1992 par le restaurateur Scott Harris. Tout a commencé dans un petit restaurant italien situé sur North Clark Street à Chicago, puis le savoir-faire s’est développé à travers trois concepts de restaurants situés dans 33 emplacements à travers quatre états. Basé à Chicago, le groupe Francesca’s Restaurant possède et exploite actuellement 23 restaurants Francesca's, cinq restaurants Davanti Enoteca et cinq restaurants Glazed and Infused.

Asparagus ravioli was not chill. Service wasn’t great. Restaurant was not worth it. Pick something else. You can do way better for the same price.

The service started out slow. It took about 10 mins to be greeted by a server. We were given a special items menu and when we tried to order from it, we were told we weren’t supposed to have that and cannot order from it. We were able to order the pizza from the special menus. It more like a garlic bread but it was delicious. My husband ended up ordering the veal. It was not seasoned and tasted very bland. I order the ravioli. It was good. It was my birthday so they did bring out dessert for me with a candle which was nice! We also sat in the corner and the ledge had a lot of little bugs on it. Not ideal. Most likely wouldn’t go back

I don’t like “chain” restaurants or touristic places. I was circumspect about booking at Francesca’s. I have visited Chicago numerous times and stayed within minutes walking to the restaurant. It was a likely “negative” statement that it had an old-fashioned feeling and was more southern Italian that convinced me to try it. It is FABULOUS, and I clearly I mean it. From the open wine selection and cocktail list down to the luscious desert options, my husband and I kept raving. You can easily share a salad and we had the hearts of palm salad, a small side of pasta as a 1st course each and then share a main dish followed by shared desert. My test of excellent Italian is the quality of a simple spaghetti with basic red sauce. It was so perfect, I wanted more, but waited for the veal dish with artichoke and mushroom. We shared a sticky toffee carrot cake with sour cream topping and candied orange. WOW. Next time in Chicago, #1 choice.

It was great, as always! It’s been around forever and continues to have consistently good food and service. More quiet and intimate than some other places. We all enjoyed our food!

Fe;t welcome the moment we stepped through the door until we left: the staff was efficient and friendly at the same time: the food came just when we wanted it, and beverage refills were right on time. We tried something new, the ravioli with asparagus tips, and enjoyed that very much, as we enjoyed the entire evening. All stars all around!

Pizza as appetizer very good. Asked for a Margarita and they made one. Ravioli and spaghetti with tomato sauce both good. Gelato good dessert. Constantine, the manager, friendly and informative.
