Le Francesca's on Chestnut est membre du Francesca's Restaurant Group. Situé dans les Seneca Boutique Apartments, le restaurant de 180 places sert sa célèbre cuisine italienne rustique. Le chef, Martin Ontiveros, mène la cuisine et propose les mets classiques épicés du Francesca's, une cuisine du terroir de Rome et des régions avoisinantes de la Toscane. La carte des vins et cocktails spéciaux est toute aussi impressionnante dans cet endroit unique disposant d'un bar à vin caché. Le DiSotto Enoteca se trouve dans le sous-sol de l'établissement. Le Francesca’s Restaurant Group a été fondé en 1992 par le restaurateur Scott Harris. Tout a commencé dans un petit restaurant italien situé sur North Clark Street à Chicago, puis le savoir-faire s’est développé à travers trois concepts de restaurants situés dans 33 emplacements à travers quatre états. My husband and I chose Francesca‘s for our anniversary dinner. It was a delightful evening. Very busy for a Thursday, which is always a good sign. We had an excellent waitress by the name of Titane. A fabulous dinner and a fabulous time.

We have been to the N Clark location of Mia Francesca but hadn’t yet tried this one. It was excellent all around. Ben, our server, knew the menu well and took good care of us. Portion sizes were good and the quality very high. Will definitely return.

High volume/table turn restaurant. Tables are quite close together - our chairs were frequently bumped by servers and other guests. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Food quality was acceptable, but not memorable. The beef carpaccio lacked flavor. Meatballs did not seem homemade. Chicken parm and bolognese were enjoyed by my family. The lemon chicken was fine, but the spinach that came with it was overwhelmingly loaded with garlic. My glass of red wine was clearly from a bottle opened a few days prior. I expect the vast majority of diners are from out of town - tourists, parents visiting college students, etc. Decent food, fair prices, nothing special. And very loud - doesn’t bother me much, but good to be aware.

A delicious dinner! Francesca’s never disappoints, everything was amazing. Service was slow but understandable, it was a Saturday night and they were packed. Will keep going back, especially for the rigatoni ala vodka.

It was my first time there and the pictures from the internet and reviews lead me there. I expected a more classier ambience. That was for me a bit disappointing, as it was more like a simple interior with paper sets as tabletop. The food was really good and definitely worth the price. The service could pay a bit more attention almost of the service staff seemed very busy but the restaurant was not full. The service was too hectic and also there was no proper break between the starter and the main. Above all it is still 4 stars, the food was very good, the price as well and maybe I got a bad day regarding the service.

Food was delicious but the evening was marred by poor service. One of our four drinks took forever to arrive. Then soon after our salads arrived, two of four entrees arrived. Took quite awhile for the other two to show up. Inexplicably awkward pacing of drinks and entrees. But will probably return as this was out of character for this establishment.

My wife and I enjoyed our meal, everything was prepared to our liking. The one thing that’s very important to us is that we do not have our entrée served while we’re still enjoying our cocktails or appetizers. We made it abundantly clear to our server that we did not want this to happen, and she assured us that it would not. So we went ahead and reluctantly gave our entrée orders and of course, we were served entrées way before we were done with our pre-entrees. We ordered lemoncello and grappa for our digestivos, and they were out of both.

Warm welcome and rapid seating at our favorite table. We tried two new dishes from the new menu: we knew more or less what to expect from Rgatoni alla Vodka but Rolli alla Francesca was completely new to us. It looked amazing when it arrived and tasted just as good as the Rigatoni. Two more dishes to add to our favorites list. Service was top-notch, beverage refills always on time, and , and everyone on the staff was cheerful and helpful. I don't suppose we can count on the small children singing next time, but they were a treat, too. All stars all around!

Very average Italian-American food. Meatballs were unseasoned and lukewarm, bolognese was underwhelming, although spaghetti was good, chef’s special pork chop was unseasoned. Accompanying veal demiglace made it tolerable.
