Francesca's Intimo a ouvert au début de 2001 et est le 11e restaurant du Francesca's Restaurant Group. Il offre une ambiance contemporaine décontractée et sophistiquée de « trattoria » et sert une bonne cuisine rustique avec un service amical et des prix raisonnables au centre-ville de Lake Forest. Le menu propose une cuisine typique de Rome et des régions avoisinantes : la Toscane, l’Ombrie et le Latium. Le Francesca’s Restaurant Group a été fondé en 1992 par le restaurateur Scott Harris. Tout a commencé dans un petit restaurant italien situé sur North Clark Street à Chicago, puis le savoir-faire s’est développé sur trois concepts de restaurant situés dans 33 emplacements à travers quatre états. Basé à Chicago, le Francesca's Restaurant Group possède et exploite actuellement 23 restaurants, cinq « Davanti Enoteca » et cinq « Glazed and Infused ».

We were seated outside and our waiter was responsive and friendly. Our food came out in a timely manner but allowing time in between courses. Our meals were delicious.

The consistent excellence of the service, ambiance, staff, and food are what we rely on and we’re never disappointed. Always existing new specials, and our usual waiter Chris is always great and a part of the experience we look forward to.

We were a bit underwhelmed. The food and drinks were good but not great. I ordered a medium steak but there was very little pink inside. My steak knife was sitting in the plate and covered in sauce so I had to clean it off before using it. My second drink was served with a chip in the rim of the glass so I had to have it replaced. Finally, we were there celebrating our anniversary and I expected we’d be offered dessert compliments of the restaurant but, that was not the case. Putting all these together left us disappointed with the dining experience

Really surprised & disappointed at our rushed through meal. Used to be really fantastic place to eat, but our service & meal was literally no better than Olive Garden. Menu changed; majority of items kept but skimmed down offerings for sure. Our server turned on us when they realized we were not drinking ($$$) & didn’t bother informing us of the specials even tho they said they would & appeared overworked yet the restaurant was not busy. My rotini was not cooked thoroughly & oh wow possibly 4 sprigs of spinach included in the meal where spinach is the staring item. The total disappointment was the once great Francesca Special salad; it was served with average if not poor lettuce quality, no endive, no blue cheese, no flavor. This salad used to be so unique, it was our go-to whenever dining. This sad meal ruined it for us. Funny part is all the hauty tauty of LF think this place is worth it bc it has outside seating. Hard pass now.
