Francesca's Intimo a ouvert au début de 2001 et est le 11e restaurant du Francesca's Restaurant Group. Il offre une ambiance contemporaine décontractée et sophistiquée de « trattoria » et sert une bonne cuisine rustique avec un service amical et des prix raisonnables au centre-ville de Lake Forest. Le menu propose une cuisine typique de Rome et des régions avoisinantes : la Toscane, l’Ombrie et le Latium. Le Francesca’s Restaurant Group a été fondé en 1992 par le restaurateur Scott Harris. Tout a commencé dans un petit restaurant italien situé sur North Clark Street à Chicago, puis le savoir-faire s’est développé sur trois concepts de restaurant situés dans 33 emplacements à travers quatre états. Basé à Chicago, le Francesca's Restaurant Group possède et exploite actuellement 23 restaurants, cinq « Davanti Enoteca » et cinq « Glazed and Infused ».

Disappointed Rock shrimp was actually just shrimp without taste Alfredo sauce was watery. Not cheesy Flat tasting dish.

A vibrant restaurant for a Sunday evening. Food was excellent! Our foursome ordered Lumache Alla Melanzane (Eggplant pasta with a spicy sauce), Pollo Arrosta Alla Romana and two Salmon dishes (one over pasta). Attentive service by Irene and we never felt rushed. Thanks to Irene for the freebie eclair dessert for my birthday! We've been here twice in the last few weeks and fully intend to make it a regular on our circuit.

i was delighted to be able to order a former favorite pizza that's not on the evening menu. We had out of town guests who were delighted with the experience and their meal in spite of it being a crowed and very busy Saturday evening

I've been doing Francescas Intimo for a long time. It's safe to say the place is past its prime. A tired menu, average to below average food, and a now costly for what you get. It used to be fairly priced and had a much better-changing menu along with above-average food. Good to see other people giving up on as well since it was half full on Friday night at 7 PM. Used to be packed all the time, people are talking with their legs and going elsewhere. Disappointing to see a good place turned bad.

Disappointing -- We have eaten here before and looked forward to returning. The food was average -- The service!! WOW -- I have never felt like I was being rushed through a meal so quickly. I guess the wait-service didn't appreciate patrons that don't order drinks.

We have been Francesca's customers for a long time and it is generally solid. We had eaten here about 3 weeks ago and had a lovely dinner. Tonight though was disappointing on multiple levels. It took a VERY long time to be served our dinner (45 minutes to an hour after we ordered). No update on when it would be served, the delay - nothing. When we finally made a comment to our server, he said our food would be out soon. He then returned to share that my husband's dinner had accidentally been given to someone else, hence the long wait. I asked then if he could at least bring my son's dinner out then. The server then returned with 3 of the 4 dishes. 2 of those dishes were chicken funghi, which is my go to dish. Unusually, the chicken portion was very small and there was virtually no spinach. My husband's dish came 5-10 minutes later. Dessert came in less than 5 minutes. No apologies for the delay, nothing. For the several hundred dollars that the meal cost, there are lots of equally good Italian places to eat, not sure that I would land here again for a while.
