I was happy to see that Fleming’s brought back softer bread and spreads to go with it. There was some time in between that we were missing Fleming’s precious standards. Loved the dinner this time!

Wonderful as always. We go here every year for our anniversary and also just to have a nice steak dinner in Houston. Flemings never disappoints us in food and service.

We made a reservation for 6:30 PM. We arrived 15 minutes early and thought we could grab a drink at the bar if a table wasn’t available yet. The restaurant wasn’t busy, probably at 25% capacity when we arrived so we were immediately seated (by a manager) at a table DIRECTLY at the entrance to the kitchen. Meanwhile, we are surrounded by empty tables in much more desirable locations. We ordered drinks and tried to hold a conversation over the banging, clanging and yelling from the kitchen. When the server came back with our drinks, we asked to be moved. We were immediately accommodated to a much nicer location. Within 10 minutes, another couple was seated at the table by the kitchen (still plenty of empty tables available and they also had a reservation). They immediately asked to be moved to a quieter table. A THIRD couple is then seated at the table by the kitchen…still plenty of empty tables. My husband and I were flabbergasted! It became comical when the third couple also asked to be moved to a quieter table. One of the three “managers” on the floor did the typical walk by asking how we were enjoying things and I had to tell her how disappointing our experience had been and that seating couples (all with reservations) at a table at the entrance to the kitchen was unacceptable. Flemings is better than that. The manager gave us a lot of lip service which came across very insincere. She didn’t offer to make things right or offer dessert or something to improve our experience. We had another manager stop by to check in and again came across very insincere. Our server was personable but extremely slow, the food was okay but nothing great but the interaction with the management staff left a very bad impression. We’ve been coming to Flemings for many years and will not be back.
