FlameStone American Grill is a casually sophisticated American Grill that places an emphasis on cooking with nature’s most basic elements: Fire & Stone. Our passion is to serve highly flavored food with the highest quality service possible. We use natural cooking techniques such as grilling over an open fire or preparing our guacamole using lava stone, to give our food exceptional flavor and taste.

Starters such as Tableside Guacamole or Stone Oven Flat Breads make your first choice a tough one. FlameStone’s Tableside Guacamole is an experience that is unlike any guacamole you have ever tasted. Made tableside using a traditional Molcajete, we only use Haas Avocados and the freshest ingredients possible. It is truly amazing.

If a great steak is your weakness, you’ll love our steaks. At FlameStone we grill our steaks over an open flame and only use Stock Yards Chicago Angus Beef that is 28 day aged and that are hand cut on premises.

    What a great neighborhood treat we enjoyed again tonight. As always, the service was attentive and enjoyable which makes dining here a pleasure. We enjoyed the pork chops and the short ribs with our server offering to tailor the dishes to our wishes. Will definitely return.

    Excellent food! This is what we ordered TUNA TOWER - Diced ahi tuna, fresh guac, crispy wontons, ponzu FILET MIGNON 9oz, mashed potatoes, green beans BRAISED SHORT RIB with Wild mushroom risotto, root vegetables, demi-glacé VANILLA CRÈME BRULEE - Fresh berries

    The steak was excellent, the potatoes were great, however, the camp fire vegetables were 99% green beans that were barely cooked a few red peppers strips and a few red onion strips. It’s a good thing we didn’t go there for the vegetables as said the steak was excellent.

    The Ribeye steak seems to be a hit and miss. Two weeks ago I ordered a ribeye and it was outstanding so I decided to order it again last night. The first one came out chewy and very tough. Our excellent server, JP had it replaced. The first cut wasn’t too bad. It was downhill after that. There was so much gristle in the steak that it was difficult to cut around and get anything that was edible. What a disappointment! The $45 steak was comped. The campfire veggies were excellent! We have been going there since they opened in Oldsmar and have noticed with frequent changes in managers, the consistency is not there anymore. The beef is certainly not what it used to be! JP, as usual, tried to bend over backwards for us but he, or the chef cannot do much about the quality of beef that they are handed. That is up to the person ordering it! We aren’t the only ones who have noticed that the food consistency is a hit and miss situation. Others have too and simply have stopped going there. Sad.

    Prime rib was delicious! Best we’ve had anywhere, including expensive steakhouses. Our waiter was wonderful, very friendly, attentive and personable. Some items in the menu were a little pricier than I’d expect but it won’t deter us from going back.

    Food and Service were excellent as usual. We had 2 Vegans in our group and between the outstanding guacamole and pasta dish they were more than happy. Of course, the carnivores were happy with the steaks all cooked to perfection. Best of all is the outstanding wine list with prices the most reasonable I have seen in a long time.
