The service and food is always great at Five crowns. The only issue I had this time for the company holiday dinner was the location of my table. I understand that it’s Christmas and the tent is up but I was seated at the end of the tent. Unfortunately the heaters were not functioning when we seated and it reeked of propane. They had to open the tent which meant freezing temperature. I asked for blankets but still cold. Wasn’t until the end of dinner when the heater was finally fixed. We were comp’d coffee for being cold. I would not be seated in the tent during the winter in the future.

What a festive evening we had tonight!! The restaurant is beautifully decorated for the holidays and the staff from the valet to servers was top notch! This is a crazy, busy time of year but everyone made us feel welcome. The food was delicious as usual and the carolers were the perfect holiday touch! We look forward to returning for another memorable meal.

Everything was perfect. Tyler was a fantastic server and we were visited my the carolers 3 times. Food was best in years. Merry Christmas!

The Carolers were awesome. The prime rib and sides were on point. The service was efficient and polite. The family had a great time.

The food is always great, but this time the service was mediocre at best. I do have to say this is a first, and it was the busy holiday season. To begin with, we were seated directly across from the banquet room. It was so loud and uncomfortable, that we requested to move. They did move us a few tables away, but it was still super loud, and we struggled to hear one another at our table. As for the service, this was the worst service we’ve ever experienced here. I think we saw our server twice, and when I asked him about the Irish coffee I had ordered 10-15 minutes earlier, he threw his hand in my face and said he was busy taking orders from the table of 10 next to us. Clearly, our party of 4 wasn’t as important! We have another reservation for Christmas Eve with our son, and I’m considering, however, I know he really wants to go. I do know that if we do go and end up with the same horrible server, I will asked to be re-seated!

We dined at Five Crowns on 12/13/24 for an early Christmas celebration. The restaurant was busy and lively, displaying lovely Christmas decorations. We had a very nice experience. The service and food were great, with exception of the crème brûlée. It was subpar and disappointing as it was one of only three dessert options. We enjoyed the carolers, but were a bit disappointed they only came into our downstairs dining room once during our 2 hour experience. We had a very enjoyable experience and it helped put us into the holiday spirit. My one recommendation, as long time Five Crowns patrons, to anyone looking to celebrate the holiday here, don’t wait until Christmas Eve to dine here. We’ve dined here a few times on Christmas Eve. On those occasions, the restaurant is EXTREMELY BUSY, reservation times are significantly delayed, service is lacking and staff are just pushing people through. In our experience, there’s not much attention to customer service on Christmas Eve. Those evenings have not been enjoyable and we’ll never go back on Christmas Eve.

Service was slow and not great. We were an opening table at 4:30 so it was not even that busy yet. Busser and server came over multiple times while soda glass was empty and never bothered refilling. After about the 3rd time coming over, had to ask for it to be refilled. Was told bread was coming. When the starters came, which included lobster bisque, bread wasn’t at table which would have gone well with the bisque. Finished starters/bisque and bread never came. Had to ask for bread. The au jus came along with horseradish in preparation of our entrees/prime rib coming. Was told entrees would be here in a few minutes. It was more than 15 minutes before entrees came and server never checked back in with us. Never bothered/offered to replace cold au jus with warm one either when entrees finally came, so had to ask them to do so. Soda glass empty again without busser or server noticing, so had to ask to have refilled again. Prime rib had a dry texture to it and didn’t feel like it was prime. Slow and inattentive service was the most noticeable. I felt like I was working too, having to manage our table for the server. Not a great experience for a regular.

Food and service was excellent, seasonally profound. Only lesser comment I could was the hostess…seemed less than happy towards her arriving guests, maybe an off day. Had a lovely pair of guests at a nearby table, immigrants from Czech Republic loving to be in America!
