Récemment rénové, First & Oak est situé à l'intérieur du charmant Mirabelle Inn. Le Chef exécutif Steven Snook vous propose un éventail de tapas caractérisés par leur saveur et leur finesse. Le menu est de type californien, doté d'une touche éclectique, tout en étant inspiré par des techniques françaises. Il est également de saison et est conçu de sorte à ce que vous puissiez créer votre propre plat personnalisé. L'objectif est que vous soyez en mesure d'explorer le menu de notre chef sans être limités à un seul format d'entrée ou de plat.     Based on the reviews I thought this place was going to be great however, it was a major let down. An expensive let down at that. The Halibut and Tenderloin were both flavorless. The oysters were awful. The Ricatta, Tuna Crudo, Scallop and Passionfruit Tart were all really good so not all the food was bad but, I definitely expected more. Very disappointed for a $90 a plate meal and ultimately wish we would have went somewhere else. Service and staff were wonderful, it was just the food that was so hit or miss.

    The food was outstanding. Wait staff was attentive but not intrusive. The pacing of the courses was excellent. Would come again in a heartbeat.

    Wonderful three course meal. We went for our anniversary. The staff was very welcoming and the kitchen was very accommodating of my pregnancy. It's my first pregnancy so I'm a little nervous about certain foods but they made sure everything was perfect. They even had non-alcoholic beer! The chef surprised us with a new off menu dessert, which was delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

    Our dinner was delicious with each dish having several different flavors and textures. So many restaurants seem to rely on salt to make a dish taste good and this one does not. We did the 5 course fixed price meal and each course was so good. Go hungry!

    Incredible experience, everything was amazing. Went all in on the 5 course with wine paring, definitely would recommend.

    We each had the three course tasting menu, plus the wine pairings. Every bit of the food was remarkably delicious and the wines paired well. The staff was attentive and helpful. The restaurant is small - only 8 tables in the room we were in - making it feel intimate and with a sense of warmth. We enjoyed it all.

    The food was phenomenal! There were so many flavors I’ve never had before and everything was done so tastefully. We ordered the hamachi crisp, roasted cauliflower, pan seared halibut entree, beef tenderloin entree, and both deserts as part of the 3 course meal and it was so worth it for $60! We also added the brussel sprouts because we love it as a starter at any restaurant and the sauce on it was delicious. I would 10/10 recommend this restaurant. It made celebrating my boyfriends birthday really special and the ambiance was quiet and intimate. Our waiter George was also so nice!

    The Michelin star was well deserved! This place makes fine dining an art again. Server George was the “cats meow”! Next time ur in the area of the central coast of Cali, stop in Solvang and make First and Oak a must stop! PS thank u for making Wifey’s B-Day an experience.

    From start to finish this was a great experience. They accommodated us in a private area . It was quiet due to the wifi been down but the experience was very good. Their location is beautiful. The food with wine pairing was delicious. I love bittersweet desserts so their passion fruit tart was just divine. I defined recommend this place. It is a must when in solvang .
