Ferro has been established and family-operated since 1993. The Space: Originally a billiard hall of colourful yet dubious character which endured for over 20 years, the Pronesti family took possession over two decades ago and added eclectic yet tasteful elements of industrial, avant-garde design while maintaining the vibrancy and creative energy of the original space. The Food: Serving up traditional southern Italian cuisine with a creative spin where we feel you will enjoy it! Our original culinary ambitions have never changed: By holding true to the family recipes and dedication to fresh ingredients as passed down through the generations that have preceded us, we bring you authentic, honest, home-cooked food the very same way we enjoy it.

Of the six of us, 5 enjoyed their meals. Unfortunately my calamari was inedible and needed to be sent back (I never send food back). The waitress was wonderful and professional. She brought me complimentary bread to make up for the mishap, but sadly I’m celiac, and just sat at the table hungry while my family feasted. They offered to replace my meal, but due to dietary restrictions my options were limited, and I didn’t want to wait and start my meal once my family had finished. The prices are affordable for the portion size. Since it was my first time there, and we arrived at 3pm, I wonder if the miss cooked calamari was a simple mistake, but I don’t think I’d order it again…or return. 80% of the food was good, so it wasn’t a complete fail. Just disappointed that I didn’t get to eat.

Had a date night with my girl yesterday, we’ve seen Ferro advertise their food online and wanted to give it a try because it looked really good. We were not disappointed. Food was phenomenal. Well seasoned, great portion size and well presented. I got the classic lasagna bolognese, she got Gnocchi and we shared the Pear and procuitto pizza. Enjoyed every last bite. The cocktails were also delicious. Servers were friendly and attentive one of the guys made sure my cup was never empty and was nice enough to pack our to go container. Two thumbs up. Ambiance also had a nice touch. This is a place we can see ourselves revisiting. Keep it up Ferro!

We came here last night and had a great time. I thought the food was great, the atmosphere is very nice, and the value for what we got was spot on. My only complaint was I thought that the server wasn't very attentive. There were a couple of times that other servers noticed that we were needing something and stepped in for her. Other than that, it was a good time.

Don't be fooled by their Instagram; was quite disappointed with the experience overall. 1) reservation booking is illogical; unclear why they even take reservations at all if they are going to only offer reservations at 3pm only. Not being able to book other times is frustrating, especially when this isn't clearly stated that they do not take dinner reservations anywhere. When I reached out about booking another time I never got any response. Also the only menu available when you can make a reso is lunch, so you can't even order any other the specials. 2) food was mediocre. nothing special, tasted like canned stuff from a grocery store. the stuff they show on Instagram is a far cry from what they are actually serving up. 3) service was bad. the staff seemed absolutely frazzled and said they were "swamped" but the restaurant was not even 30% full? And they had at least 5 FOH staff in a fairly small location? They never checked in, everything took forever to come to the table. And when we did ask for things they never followed through.
