Ferro has been established and family-operated since 1993. The Space: Originally a billiard hall of colourful yet dubious character which endured for over 20 years, the Pronesti family took possession over two decades ago and added eclectic yet tasteful elements of industrial, avant-garde design while maintaining the vibrancy and creative energy of the original space. The Food: Serving up traditional southern Italian cuisine with a creative spin where we feel you will enjoy it! Our original culinary ambitions have never changed: By holding true to the family recipes and dedication to fresh ingredients as passed down through the generations that have preceded us, we bring you authentic, honest, home-cooked food the very same way we enjoy it.

Michele and his team do a great job …. amongst the multitude of italian restaurants in Toronto Ferro stands out …. food, wine service all great without pricy pretence …

Unfortunately, the pasta was overcooked and lacked flavor, which was disappointing for an Italian restaurant. The sauce was bland and didn’t elevate the dish. However, the service was excellent—our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s a shame the food didn’t match the quality of the service. Will give them another try ..

Great food as usual! The options for specials were great. The magic mushrooms are always a hit too! Lovely wine menu and the staff are so attentive.

Absolutely fabulous lunch. They have wonderful pizzas and pasta. Also highly recommend the calamari appetizer. I will definitely be back as there are many more delicious sounding options.

I went to Ferro Bar to celebrate the birthdays of myself and my partner. We went with family and did not have a good experience at all. I had been excited to go because of what I saw on their Instagram. Once we arrived, the entire restaurant was empty. Not one seat filled. we were seated in the worst possible table - right beside the pizza oven. As I looked up, to hang our coats - I noticed there was a shelf covered in thick dust which made me question their attention to the basics in the dining room. Dust is not acceptable, ever. It shows a lack of effort. It was also very hot beside the pizza oven where we were sat - so we politely asked the hostess if we could relocate as the restaurant was still empty. She said no because they had “other reservations”. Which ended up not being true. We then asked again - if we could move seats since we felt very uncomfortable and hot…. She sent the buser who agreed to move us but he let us know that it was a 2 hour seat limit due to other reservations. He later notified us that the table had cancelled so that we could sit there longer. We stayed about 2 1/2 hours and the restaurant was never fully booked. I asked what they had on special and the server did not know. She mentioned that the kitchen was still figuring it out which I found odd since this should have been communicated to the server before the start of her shift. She told me she would let me know what the specials were. She came back 10 to 15 minutes later to ask us what our order was and I had to ask her again what the specials were. She had to run back to the kitchen again and then handed me a pamphlet that indicated what the specials were. When our drinks arrived, my partners cup was dirty/not properly washed. The food was very mediocre. Lasagna seemed microwaved. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
