In 1940, Adele and Ellis Ferris determined to share their hospitality with more than their family and friends. they wanted to reach out to serve the Cleveland community that had welcomed them with open arms. Adele and Ellis wanted to create a legacy for their children, grandchildren, and generations that would follow that would bring them pride all their days.
Starting out in Cleveland on Detroit Rd. Ferris Steak House became a favorite dining place for people from all across the city and outlying suburbs.

Unfortunately not a good experience aside from our server that was great. We were seated at a small two top table wedged in the middle of two larger tables so we were literally right on top of the couple next to us despite that there were many other tables open at the time. We both ordered medium Delmonico steaks, however mine came out well done. Overall, the price was not worth the experience and honestly just disappointed.

Felt rushed to order drinks/food. The overall taste of the food wasn’t bad. Half the menu wasn’t available and was told there was no “Valentine’s Day specials” but the sign when you walked in talked about a valentines surf and turf. Probably will not return

Wonderful service, every step of the way. Need to vastly improve quality of the steaks. Even if different price points for “Prime.”

It was very amazing service , appetizer was fairly good, and sides as well, however steak was a bit dry. Definitely would come back though and give it a second chance.

Steaks were really good as well as the service. Our table was right under a vent blowing out cold air and it was a bit uncomfortable.

Really enjoyed everything about our dining experience at Ferris. It’s a steakhouse serving up the best in whatever they offer. We ordered two different steaks off the menu. Both were to our satisfaction and liking. Sides were generous and delicious. We had excellent service and weren’t rushed. Our veteran waiter made suggestions when asked and did not steer us wrong in any choice he offered. We thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
