In 1940, Adele and Ellis Ferris determined to share their hospitality with more than their family and friends. they wanted to reach out to serve the Cleveland community that had welcomed them with open arms. Adele and Ellis wanted to create a legacy for their children, grandchildren, and generations that would follow that would bring them pride all their days.
Starting out in Cleveland on Detroit Rd. Ferris Steak House became a favorite dining place for people from all across the city and outlying suburbs.

It's a neighborhood hotspot. Homey atmosphere that is not loud by any means due do an abundance of clean soft surfaces. The wait staff treats you like a friend or family. At first look, the menu prices may appear moderate to high, but the quality and quantity make your meal well worth it. Bruce Ferris is a born and bred local from Parma who grew up knowing the value of a dollar. Ferris Steak House exemplifies the values of Northeast Ohio.

Our "Go to" place when we want great food, service and ambiance. We literally pass by 6 better quality restaurants on our route. If you've never been here, do yourself a favor.

Zero seasoning on the $50 steak tasted like nothing. Waitresses responded with “must be a full moon” and that was it.

I ate a DelMonico steak w asparagus. It was very good. The server was mostly attentive. The establishment needs to update their website because the food prices were higher in the menus we received. Also, I don’t agree with an automatic 20% tip added to my bill. There is outside seating which, also isn’t indicated on their website. I would recommend this restaurant.

Three out of four at the table got steaks. We asked for medium rare….they all came to table well well done! We sent them back to try again…this time they came out medium rare, but the steaks, which were not cheap, were as tough as shoe leather. Ferris should take the “steakhouse” out of their name and just be Ferris Bar. Management did give us free deserts…but when you are looking forward to a good steak, a good desert is not much of a consolation prize.

It wasn't as good as it usually is. My steak was not super tender. Everything else was great.

We attended Ferris Steakhouse on 8/31/2024 for my wife's birthday. Ilene was an amazing server. Both my wife and I enjoyed our meals. She had Lamb Chops and I have the Detroit. Both were cooked to perfection. Our Calamari was cooked to perfection and was delicious with the sweet chili sauce. You can never go wrong with Cesar Salads. Our drinks tasted exceptional. Great experience for our first time and we will be back again.

The salad was not fresh. Some old lettuce in there. The dressing which was homemade was very good. We could not believe the addition of mushrooms and onions with our steak was going to be $19, so we split a side of mushrooms. The mashed potatoes were horrible and lumpy. My husbands Delmonico had a lot of fat and gristle. We each had a drink, we split the stuffed pepper appetizer, we each had a steak and our bill was $170. Very expensive for a so-so meal.
