A pub in the modern sense of the word. We have a bar area and a dining room, we serve food from a menu that changes often, it isn't fine dining nor is it trying to be. We cook in a way that we as cooks like to eat, do not be afraid to share, as sharing truly is the spice of life. If you would like simply to pop in for a cheeseburger and a refreshing pint please do, there is always space in the bar. It is loud and slightly chaotic, at night it is dark, we turn tables because we need to in order to survive, make the business work, and pay the people that make it work. Please don't be offended if we ask you to wait a little moment for your table to be ready. The kitchen opens at 6pm for service during weekdays (Monday to Friday) and at 1pm during the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) for a lunch service. The pub, however, opens at 3pm on weekdays and at 12pm on weekends

The idea came from a mirror in an antiques market and a love for a more informal approach to dining, the result is a chippy in North London with old church pews bolted to the walls to be leaned on and eaten from. The focus is on fish but the menu transcends fish, mammals and vegetables, leaving no stone unturned in the never ending quest for flavour. Split between two rooms, the front the engine, the kitchen and bar shared by customers as they perch on bar stools and enjoy dinner and a show. Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington. After excellent reviews, he took on the space permanently after his step-father retired and since, has gone from strength to strength. Farang was recently inducted into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 and awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, which we have kept four years running. We also received the Thai select award from the UK Thai Embassy which certifies authenticity and the freshness of our ingredients.We’re a young team of enthusiastic individuals, who over the last few years have bought our passion and skills to the table. “A stones throw away from Dalston Kingsland Station you will find The Dalston Jazz Bar. It’s a full on restaurant up until 10 PM. They serve an array of fresh seafood as well as yummy beer from a local brewery and cocktails. The live band plays throughout the night with a few breaks. After 10 PM they clear all tables and chairs to create a dance floor and this place then really starts to rock! We don't do vegan or vegetarian food. We specialize in fish. Tuesdays are our LGBTQ night, but everyone is welcome. Tuesdays will now feature live jazz bands."
