Water Lane is a restaurant based within a working market garden in the High Weald of Kent. Guided by the seasons, our menu reflects its sense of place in the English countryside where we grow our own vegetables and use local suppliers. Our ever changing menu is simple but prepared with imagination and care by our Head Chef Jed Wrobel and his team. The Good Food Guide 2023 describes us as 'A contender for one of the most charming eateries in Kent, it's pretty much impossible to resist the lure of this rural restaurant tucked away in a delightful walled garden...' We are open Wednesday to Sunday 10am - 4.30pm and take bookings for breakfast (until 11.45am) and lunch (until 3pm). Our daytime restaurant is currently located on our outside terrace under a tented awning, overlooking the garden. Well behaved dogs are welcome on a leash. From 2nd August we will be open on Friday and Saturday evenings from 5.30pm when we will serve dinner in our Carnation House glasshouse.

Biddenden in Kent is home to a small, family-run restaurant. Housed in a 15th Century weaver's cottage, The West House Restaurant is one
of only a few restaurants in Kent to hold a Michelin star.
The Good Food Guide said of this Kent restaurant... “Respondents continue in their enthusiasm for Graham Garrett’s cuisine: ‘great intensity of flavours, fabulous textures.’ as one reader put it."
Frankie's Farmshop is open for indoor dining in our beautiful new restaurant, outdoors when the weather is good as well as for groceries, beautiful gifts & cards, plants & flowers.
We are a country Gastropub owned by farmers. Our farm supplies the beef, lamb and pork and we source other ingredients from local producers where we can. Our small seasonal menu changes regularly reflecting what is available in our area. We pride ourselves on being very much a country pub, offering freshly prepared seasonal food and a warm welcome. We also love offering locally produced drinks, such as gins, rums, ales and wines, giving you the complete taste of Sussex. Our weekend menu is our delicious Asado Grill. A slightly reduced but very tasty BBQ menu, where everything is cooked on our outdoor grill. We advise to book in as we get very busy!
