Vatutto is a family run restaurant, Owners Paul and Myrto Recinella moved from their 16 year Institution at Zios East Melbourne to the Ivanhoe location in 2015. A full renovation was completed recently creating a modern yetelegant atmosphere. Vatutto translates from Italian to ‘Everything goes’ the menu here has a diverse flavour selection from all corners of the earth. Produce here is sourced from premium suppliers, and we use sustainable seafood from Australian or New Zealand waters, Wagyu beef from Gippsland, organic eggs, fruit and vegetables, and quality imported cheese, dairy products and flour. We had a birthday special occasion and wanted to have a great food great atmosphere experience. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We’ve been here a number of times and it’s always a great experience.

It was a lovely dinner and the staff were very friendly and the service was good. The pork we ordered off the set menu was extremely fatty that most of the meal was left on the plate due to the fact it was mostly fat. However, the little meat that was in the dish was delicious. The rose and strawberry dessert was fantastic!

As always great food and a great atmosphere. Just not quite enough front of house slowed service down just a bit but the food and atmosphere more than make up for it. Highly recommended.
