Badminton and Gatcombe horse trials are both within easy reach. We are 24 miles from the Roman spa town of Bath and from the city of Bristol, both with their many attractions. Cheltenham races are 34 miles from the Cat.Apart from these attractions, we are in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with many wonderful walks direct from our front door. We welcome well-behaved dogs.Our chef’s mission is to serve delicious pub food at reasonable prices. Our ingredients are fresh and largely sourced from local suppliers. A gorgeous pub, service was fabulous and the Christmas short rib was outstanding. This is also a cracking pub to go to Sunday lunch.

Fantastic attentive staff, excellent food the Fish and Chips was the best I’ve eaten in a pub for a very long time - so tasty as was the ribeye steak
