Our head chef Andrew Campbell fuses contemporary and traditional British cooking and adds an appealing local twist. The Ox Barn is a 56-seater destination restaurant under the direction of Head Chef, Charlie Hibbert. Rooted in a passion for the local land, food and entertaining, the carefully curated menus are farm-based and plant-inspired. His team and the gardeners at Thyme work together to select and grow the fruits, vegetables and herbs used to create his Modern British Countryside fare. The nineteenth century former oxen house is the newest addition to the family of meticulously restored farm buildings. A state-of-the-art piece of agricultural architecture at its conception, Caryn Hibbert worked meticulously to preserve the soaring archways and original Cotswold stone rubble walls, to now house a modern, dining destination - including a contemporary bar and seven and a half metre Charvet open kitchen - to allow for an authentic, heritage-rich dining experience, enabled by today’s best culinary technologies.

    Exceptional service & food. They even allowed my extremely allergic son to bring his own food so there would be no cross contamination. Every bite of the braised lamb was heavenly, the duck liver was perfect & dessert was the icing on the cake!

    Me and my friend went for a girly trip away and we stayed in the feature room which overlooks the river - it was stunning. The beds are so comfy! The room itself is warm, inviting and clean to a high standard. Due to the flooding, the receptionist kindly upgraded us in the likelihood that the room flooded, with it being so close to the river. We then experienced staying in the junior suit and oh my, how beautiful. We have been truly spoilt. It was unfortunate regarding the floods but this did not stop us from enjoying our time away. The staff were lovely, helpful and nothing was too much. We are definitely thinking about staying again!
