Chris and Erica Rains grew the company from two to now over fifty family members. We serve innovative cuisine in a fun environment. Guests can choose to order off the menu or do a chef's tasting any day of the week. A private chef’s table and an interactive show kitchen in addition to regular dining is what you’ll find at The Chef & I Nashville Midtown! We are also able to accommodate walk-in guests in our lounge, backstage bar and other dining areas; with a short wait depending on the day of week and time. Prime times are longer of a wait for walk-ins. Reservations for parties of (4) or more canceled within 24 hours before are subject to a $20 per seat charge. Walls are covered in beautiful custom-made wallpaper, painted tin tiles on the ceiling, windows open to two patios as weather allows and a larger-than-life mirrored bird sculpture overlooking the dining room. And then there’s the food and drink! Munch on a Mockingburger or Mac N Cheese (aka Feeling Grate!) while sipping an Old-Fashioned-ish or a Punchin’ Bag (ask about it – they are famous!).
