Originally known as Riverside Chinese Restaurant, the restaurant has been open since 1993. With the help of many within the local community we have managed to gather a fond following from the residents of Bursledon and the surrounding areas of Locks Heath, Warsash, Whitely, Hedge End and Hamble. In 2017 we went through a large scale refurbishment and rebranded ourselves as Little Canton. As a restaurant and takeaway with a delivery service and, uniquely, a dance floor and disco on weekends, we have always been perfectly placed to reach our customers at various junctures of their daily lives. When we started out in 2017, we were cheffing up from the courtesy of our home in Portsmouth. It was all great fun and games until customers started showing up to our house for food collections… From there, we took a leap of faith, and a few box meals later, we had our very own market stall on Commercial Road. This was big for us. It was the first time we could connect with the community on a 1:1 basis and actually see customers fall in love after that first bite. Naturally, the food did it’s job, and as word spread, our small gazebo became a local sensation, bringing people together over plates of smoky and spicy delights.Spicing Up the CommunitySince 2017, our "fambily" has been serving up a modern twist on Jamaican cuisine and the community has been our rock. Come down to our 'Shack' in Portsmouth to experience where it all began and feel the vybez!

Very enjoyable dining experience, actually exceeded expectations based on reading previous reviews . Food was delicious, choices added variety and class to usual options found in traditional Chinese restaurants, beautiful setting with unique oriental features , service was on point and professional, will definitely return .

Really lovely meal, however the plates are too small to have as a main so we chose a selection of 5 dishes to share as tapas. The food and cocktails were lovely. This did end up being rather expensive though at around £50 per person.

Every time we come here we are blown away by the quality of the food, it’s truly outstanding, service is really efficient and the fact that it’s always busy speaks volumes as to its reputation!

Really good night out. We booked on the OpenTable app and I don' t think they knew we were coming but managed to squeeze us in. We had a great table and it was a very busy night with a 30, 50, 60 and 70 birthday party in full swing. The music was low level and just about right until about 10pm and the DJ announced that it was time to party and the classic tunes went on and the dancing started. All in all a great night with reasonably decent food, especially with it being so busy. Good service and again it was very busy so good to have service even at this busy level.
