Chef Wesley E. Choplin graduated from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York in 1997.Chef Wes, as he is fondly known in the industry, has been a sought after chef from his early years at world renowned Pinehurst Golf & Country Club. He quickly became popular for his "outside the box" mentality and later being recruited by many of North Carolina's best restaurants the last 25 years, ultimately becoming the renowned Chef that he is today. His passion for being a culinary artist is truly unmatched.With Anthony Bourdaine's mentorship at CIA, Chef Wes Choplin has surpassed and achieved many of his culinary goals and received awards for his talent and community service throughout North Carolina. Today, he is the Executive Chef and Owner of Choplin's Restaurant, a true institute, 14 years strong in the Lake Norman area which has gained popularity in the many surrounding cities.
