The Forge has its kitchen front and centre in the middle of this lovely, and elegant space. Incredible dry-aged beef and wild venison will be found in the maturation cabinets, awaiting their turn on the amazing forge grill, to be lovingly grilled and roasted over beech logs. Head chef Dan Regan, a passionate chef, heads up the young, vibrant team in the kitchen. Combining amazing, wild, sustainable ingredients from land and sea into sumptuous creations that form really memorable eating experiences. We focus on British ingredients, as local to Chester. Our venison, always a hugely popular part of our menus, is harvested from herds on estates that focus on improving biodiversity and deer health – a process we call Farming the Wild.

Opera Grill brings theatre on a grand scale to Chester. At the heart of our menu is the theatre charcoal grill and wood-burning ovens, inspired by revered chefs and restaurants from around the world. We are an authentic Italian wine café, proud to offer quality Sicilian wines and spuntini appetisers across the UK. In the spring of 2013 something extraordinary happened. Two Italian guys in their twenties met in Manchester to find out that they shared a unique passion; they both loved and missed, the Italian Aperitivo, the ritual of drinking, nibbling and relaxing after work. A daily occasion to share moments of happiness with friends and family. By the end of that very same year, Veeno was born: a place where everyone could enjoy great wines and the most authentic Spuntini – platters of meats, cheeses and other appetisers imported from strictly selected Italian producers. Our wines come from Caruso & Minini, our family vineyard back in Sicily where great-grandfather Antonio planted the first vines in the XIX century. Since then, we have been working hard to ensure that our quality and tradition could flow from the bottles to the glass in your hand.
