Robun is a tribute to Japanese author Kanagaki Robun and his 1872 book Seiyō ryōritsū, which introduced Western barbecue to Japan.Our modern-day interpretation of Yakiniku specialises in sharing plates of beautiful robata grilled dished large plates fused with elements from across Asia, paired with inspired cocktails and an extensive choice of Japanese whiskeys or sake in the most inviting and sociable of settings.Alongside our innovative selection of sashimi, salads and small plates, our fresh sushi is served in a variety of creative incarnations including soft-shell crab futomaki roll with kimchi mayo and a tobiko-topped nigiri.Upstairs in the Kanagaki Suite, we provide an events space and cocktail bar set to host celebrations and events. Upstairs at Landrace is a casual neighbourhood bar & bistro, our food is led by ingredients which are carefully sourced from local farms and market gardens, we work with producers who have a natural approach to growing and use regenerative, high welfare farming techniques. The menu regularly features handmade pasta, line-caught Cornish fish and meat from Haye Farm in Devon, and Huntsham Farm in Herefordshire.You can join us for a quick plate of pasta at lunchtime or a longer celebratory meal with friends & family in the evening. We are located on the beautiful Argyle Street just over Pulteney Bridge and our smaller dining room, which can also be booked for private dining, overlooks Pulteney Weir.
