The Grape Variety is a neighbourhood, independent wine bar, shop and restaurant, selling great wines and food from around the world, located just 2 minutes from Chipstead Railway Station.We opened in the spring of 2018 with the aim that a wine bar should cater not just to experts, but to all, so we created one where our guests could unwind at the end of the day with a great wine in a warm, friendly and genuine environment, whilst getting sound advice about which wines to enjoy, as well as to take away.For food, we offer quality artisan cheese and charcuterie, alongside dishes such as baked Camembert, bakery sausage rolls, hot chorizo and potato, hummus with a spicy sauce, Spanish pâté and the like. On Thursdays, enjoy our wood fired pizza pop-up and our legendary Quirky Quiz runs every other Wednesday. The Pizza Bar is the result of years of exploring the foundations of pizza in Italy. The result is a dough made with the best flour, coarse sea salt, filtered water, and Italian extra virgin olive. We leave our dough for longer than most to give the flavour and chewiness the most time to develop. Then we ensure that we use the best tomatoes, meats, vegetables available to us both locally in Surrey and Italian produce. The result is an unforgettable pizza experience.
