Nestled into a cobblestone square just off Austin Street, Jade Eatery & Lounges’ address hints at why Jade is said to be “Forest Hills hidden gem”. The space integrates a zen-like atmosphere with inspirational quotes that adorn the walls and a serene koi pond presenting a large Buddha statue smiling benevolently on guests guiding them to a choice entree. Modern market and dining concept highlighting the influence of Greek products on Mediterranean cuisine. Mediterranean cuisine is rooted in an archipelago of magical vistas but rocky soil; where folks that could grow little more than herbs and olives were compelled to build ships to trade what little their soil brought forth. The resulting market for herbs and olives used in food, medicine, ritual and cosmetics— created a network of Greek trading nodes that stretched across the Mediterranean and beyond. The spirit of this history lives on in the prominence of herbs and olives in tapas, cicchetti, meze and other small plate cultures of contemporary Mediterranean nations. We work with our partners to bring you artisanal products true to the gastronomic traditions of these salt- and sun-kissed lands; in a culinary testament to those traders, philosophers, cooks, scientists, artists, bakers, bankers and rogues; who set sail from enchanted shores, with little more than herbs and olives.
In 2019, after our doors have been open for a decade, we took a step back and looked at ourselves as a company. We looked beyond what we created, we reflected upon the journey that brought us here and explored ideas of where this path and our growth will lead. Our greatest strength has always been creating a menu with choices that feel good for everyone. We source mindfully, with our farmers, our environment and our guests in mind at all times. We now look to the future of food, and plant-based proteins are undoubtedly at the forefront of sustainability. Our menu is now half vegan; plant-based and more delicious than ever. What we eat is who we are, and at Bareburger, we celebrate everyone.
Oda House Offers authentic Georgian cuisine and natural wines. A liberal use of spices, kebabs, khinkali (oversized meat-and-cheese dumplings), mtsvadi, khachapuri (Georgian cheese bread) and adjaruli (Cheese boat) typify the kitchen’s preparations. But, more classic dishes may reveal satsivi, or boiled chicken, served cool in a warmly spiced and seasoned walnut sauce, accompanied by gomi. Oda House uses mostly fresh and organic ingredients sourced from local farms. Menu has plenty of vegan and Gluten-free choices.Maia Acquaviva, managing partner and executive Chef of Oda House, brings Georgian cuisine and a dose of Georgian culture and pride to NY.
