Le plat signature du Legal Sea Foods est composé de poisson très frais. Seafood Nation apprécie cet avant-poste à Peabody, à la jonction entre les Routes 128 et 114. Si vous voyagez depuis ou à destination des plages de Cape Ann, il est fort probable que vous renonciez à votre sortie pour déguster du poisson frais. Even though Post is a new name for most of us, it has been an important part of South Hamilton history since 1924. The historic building at 16 Bay Rd. was home to the South Hamilton Post Office, and a place for residents to send and pick up letters. In response to the Great Depression, and a drop in the postage rate (from three cents to 2 cents), the Postmaster added more opportunities for residents to pick up their mail. At Post, which at the time was known as “the brick block building”, letters were piled on a table, and a bell was rung to let residents know that they could come and retrieve their mail. Keeping with that tradition, guests of Post will have an opportunity to “Ring the Bell”, which signifies that they have bought a beer for our hard working kitchen and waitstaff. Whether you are coming in to dine with family and friends, grabbing a drink and an appetizer, or picking up takeout on the way home, Post is here for you – rain or shine.

For two battle-fatigued parents looking for some adult time away from the kids, Silver Dove was exactly the reprieve we needed. As soon as we walked in, we appreciated the restaurant’s small, quiet, intimate vibe. This was matched by the rest of our experience. The staff was attentive, courteous, and kind. The drink menu was expansive, yet not overwhelming. The food was absolutely delicious, with a special shout-out to the coronation chicken and the prosciutto-wrapped dates. On our way out, we bought a gift card to share the Silver Dove with some family members. We can’t wait to hear about the experience, and we’re already eager for our next one, too.

This place has that subtle cool yet upscale vibe without doing too much. Nothing phony here, all the focus is on the food and how to deliver the best experience to their guests. Did I say how much we loved the food?

We’ve eaten here several times and decided to treat our friends to their first time. We all enjoyed the dishes we shared and the chef was happy to scale back the heat for one of us. Having said that, I do prefer the tofu with longhorn peppers to the milder classic tofu dish my friend ordered. I love the heat and the unique food offered at Yunnan Kitchen.
