As one of Englefield Green’s oldest public houses dating back to 1780 we are blessed with an idyllic location right next to the Bishopsgate entrance of Windsor Great Park and a short distance from Guards Polo Club.We serve delicious home cooked food using fresh seasonal produce all day every day from breakfast with fresh coffee at 9am through to lunch and dinner in our restaurant or bar food in our bar. Situated on the High Street of Eton, close to the River Thames and between the historic buildings of Eton College and Windsor Castle, Gilbey's is open from 12 noon for lunch and 6pm for dinner every day.Originally an old butcher's shop, we created one of the first wine bars outside London in 1975 - The Eton Wine Bar. After 25 years of success, we changed the name in 2000 to Gilbey's, having recognised that our food had outgrown the original wine bar concept.
