Brock Street’s 3rd Floor Lounge setting is designed as a prohibition style, members’ lounge and cocktail bar. Here you can enjoy craft beer, handcrafted cocktails, and spirits, designed and produced by Brock Street Brewing and Distilling Company. Only Light Fare is offered at present. Brock Street was founded by four best friends with a goal of helping to revitalize downtown Whitby, a place they all call home. The Brock Street building is a newly constructed building that opened in 2019. It was built to the historical standards of 1800’s locally inspired architecture and is complete with numerous historical artifacts including horse hitch rings, antique lighting, and reclaimed brick throughout. The building contains a main floor restaurant, 12welve Bistro, a 2nd floor banquet hall, and the 3rd floor, which is home to Whitby’s only rooftop patio.

The Local Cafe and Restaurant was created to offer experiential learning opportunities for our students. The Local is located on Centennial College, Progress Campus. At the Local, the hospitality, culinary and baking students learn in the restaurant as part of their embedded courses as well as their field placement's under the direction of our Faculty, Chef and Restaurant Technicians. Our menus are inspired by the international flavor profiles that represent the incredibly rich diversity of those who call Scarborough home.
