Gloria Gati is the new restaurant of chef George Papakostas who jokingly refers to Gloria as the older sister of Vittoria Gati, another famous restaurant of his in Glyfada. Gloria is located in a historic building in the Athens center just 50 meters from Syntagma square. It is defined by an eclectic vintage design in a very cosy space where the pizza oven takes center stage. The bar serves award winning cocktails and over 100 wines from Greece and around the globe. The menu is Italian with a focus on homemade pasta and quality meats. The pizza is made from a 1937 sourdough and baked in a traditional oven imported from Naples. Some of the signature dishes include the steak tartare, arancini bolognese, the raviolo cacio pepe, the reginette al tartufo for truffle lovers as well as pollo francese and the ossobuco which is cooked for 12 hours. A tiramisu is a must here accompanied by a single estate espresso. Outside seating is available all year round in the courtyard of St George church
