Zitz Sum is a 30 seat seasonal restaurant located inside of an historic building in Coral Gables, Florida. Our story, is a story of resilience, passion & commitment, that is translated in a plate of food, excellent service and unapologetic gracious hospitality. Our current menu is an autobiographical journey reflecting Chef’s experiences and our affinity for Japanese ingredients and technique. We currently offer A la carte menu that changes with the seasons, and a Seven Course Tasting Menu that changes weekly. Our tasting menu consists of playful snacks and bites to get the night going, and an array of our signature and favorite current dishes. Part of the tasting menu is presented in a family style format conducive for sharing and celebrating. Zitz Sum is recipient of a 2022, 2023 & 2024 Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand Award, a 2022 James Beard Foundation Semifinalist for Best New Restaurant and a New York Times 2022 Best 50 Restaurants in America.

Chef Director Björn Weissgerber serves a diverse menu inspired by the Oceans of Asia, with a particular focus on Japan – sushi, sashimi, tiradito, tempura and robata. Among the signature dishes, you’ll be able to dive into are the Bloody Mary Ceviche; our Yellow Tartare, Smoked Tofu and Caviar; plus, the wonderful Enrygii Mushroom Tempura, with Summer Truffle and Aka Miso, as well as its King Crab and Bone Marrow counterpart. Sexy Fish’s interior is designed by the award-winning Martin Brudnizki Studio and includes a show-stopping fish tank.     We had a very nice dinner. Our dumplings, snapper, Carolina Gold rice, and cabbage were excellent and a nice size to share between two people. The wait staff described food and drinks perfectly and were friendly and attentive (but not too attentive). The drink list is not large, but our suggested wines paired very nicely with our plates.

    Visited here for lunch with nine people during a business conference. Most had the lunch special others had individual dishes and all were very satisfied with the food and quality. The bread served was also very, very good The service was friendly and very attentive. The drinks as well which were nonalcoholic were presented beautifully Overall a great Mediterranean lunch experience.

    Really nice place! I love the cozy atmosphere, the warm and inviting ambiance makes it feel so comfortable. The food is excellent, and the service is top-notch—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Definitely a great spot to relax and enjoy a great meal!
