The Rabbits is a family friendly gastro pub & restaurant in the heart of the essex countryside. We pride ourselves on good friendly service and good quality homecooked food with our seasonal menus, we serve real ales, fine wines & premium spirits. We have a great beer garden where you can take in the picturesque views whilst not having to go too far to order any food or drink as this can all be done at our garden bar which is also playing background music around our garden, this is open Thurs-Sunday throughout the spring/summer weather permitting. The site of the Old Tea Warehouse is surrounded by religious history and can be traced back as far as 1592, where the Creechurch Monastery once stood. Indeed it is said that upon renovation of the site, old bones were found (where the staff loos are now!) and the original East India Co Tea Warehouse was believed to be built on a graveyard so you never know who you may bump into in our basement lounge... Unique for a City pub we have a private patio tucked away for time out of the office and a cool basement complete with three electronic dartboards.
Chai Ki is an all-day restaurant open for lunch, drinks and dinner, showcasing Modern Indian Soul Food with Seasonal Specials. The drinks range features craft and in-house-infused beers, a carefully selected Wine list and seasonal signature cocktails. The overall design fuses industrial brickwork, ducting and dark wood flooring with soft leather furnishings and bright fabrics. High ceilings and large windows stretch the length of the room, filling the space with natural daylight. In the evening, the pendant lighting is dimmed to create an elegant environment in which to dine. Bookings are available online, with walk-ins still welcome but subject to availability.
