Phil and Shula Witherford are the passionate couple behind this popular bar and contemporary restaurant on Doctors Hill, a place which is hard to leave without a personal promise to the publican that you’ll be back to get your fill again before too long.

Having opened in March 2018, and receiving excellent reviews, including the Guardian in our first month, we are proud to offer a unique experience. You can sit around our sushi bar, which sits 10 and watch our chefs creating the sushi right before your eyes!     Pleasant surroundings,great service delicious food at reasonable price. We had set lunch menu gots cheese bonbons,belly pork,sea bass,Xmas pud, ice cream. Looking forward to returning in new year as always a great lunch out with friends

    We were greeted with a smile , shown to our lovely table and served amazing, constantly asked if we needed anything all along with amazing food and drinks. Absolutely brilliant job to the two young ladies that looked after us throughout our visit.

    Excellent service friendly staff. Food was exceptional especially the fish and chips it was so fresh and the batter was lovely and light along with a variety of sauces and homemade chunk chips. The seating area was Warm and cosy next to the log fire. We got to speak to the owner who is also the chef. Such a delight cannot thank you enough we will be back!

    Great food, drink and service. Such a shame that the storm brought a power cut to the village before we got desert and coffee. Candles lit and open fire made for a lovely atmosphere.
