Le restaurant Boka, primé d'une étoile Michelin, est connu dans le monde culinaire de Chicago depuis 2003. En Janvier 2014, suite à une rénovation importante, le chef Lee Wolen se joint à l'équipe en tant que partenaire et chef exécutif. Depuis son arrivée à Boka, les critiques s'y intéressent particulièrement. Phil Vettel du Chicago Tribune et du Eater Chicago a reconnu Lee comme "Le Chef de l'année 2014." Plus récemment, Lee a été nommé 'Chef de l'année' en 2015 et le restaurant Boka a reçu le prix de 'Restaurant de l'année' pendant la soirée réputée des Jean Banchet Awards, tenue à Chicago. Le Boka propose une cuisine américaine contemporaine qui se transforme au gré des saisons et de l'approvisionnement des ingrédients locaux, autant que possible. La chef pâtissière Meg Galus, membre de l'équipe Boka depuis 2015, intègre parfaitement le sucré et le salé tout en respectant l'utilisation d'ingrédients de grande qualité - tout comme le fait Wolen - qui sont préparés et présentés de façon magnifique.
