Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's. We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times. Nice pub grub food. The restaurant was rather cold, though. We went for a drink at the bar after, and although the lighting was nice and ambient, the music left a lot to be desired. It was like a 90s disco, and not in a good way! Luckily, we could not hear this in the restraint area whilst we were eating. I would have complained if so.

We were well looked after, with excellent service. The food was good, and nicely presented; we couldn’t really fault it, apart from perhaps a bit too much salt in everything, but it lacked the wow factor that would have made it special. We dined on two consecutive nights and were a bit disappointed that the ‘daily menu’ was exactly the same both nights.

Honestly the most amazing food i’ve ever had, the service was so speedy and welcoming!! the atmosphere was great and god don’t get me started on the focaccia, it was DIVINE!! This was the best restaurant i’ve been to in Manchester 100%
