In order to secure your booking with us we may ask for your card details. No money will be taken from your account unless in the event of a no show or cancellation. If you do not turn up for your table there will be a £10 per person fee. If you cancel your table with less than 24 hours notice you will be charged £5 per person. Welcome to Sugar Boat - a relaxed & informal neighbourhood bistro in the heart of the town on Colquhoun Square, a stones throw from the sea front. We are open daily from 7.30am (8.30am on Saturday & 9am on Sunday's) through until late. We serve everything from breakfast with a cracking fry up or eggs benedict with or avocado & poached eggs on toast. For lunch & dinner we offer a la carte menus. Lunch is the more informal with burgers, fish & chips & daily sandwiches. Dinner can be a little more special. Cakes, scones & savoury snacks are available all day. We have a Wine Shop for off sales from our extensive list of over 100 wines - everything from £9.50 per bottle upwards. Enjoy a tip top cocktail from our bar made with premium sprits & our home made purees, cordials and juices or enjoy a pint of a locally brewed beer or a can of local Scottish craft ale. Choose to sit on the square or in our rear courtyard.

Riva in Helensburgh is one of the finest Italian and Mediterranean restaurants in town. On West Clyde Street, the Riva dining space is stylish and comfortable which, in a way, reflects the food: traditional, wholesome recipes prepared and presented in a contemporary way. From both the Riva lunch menu and the a la carte, expect pizza, pasta, meat and fish, with each dish featuring only the freshest produce that’s local where possible or imported from Italy. Riva is just around the corner from Helensburgh main train station, meaning it’s pretty easy to get to from wherever you’re based in this glorious part of Scotland. Reservations are essential.

We also have tea and coffee facilities in the room with delicious Scottish biscuits included.Breakfast is included in our room rates and we also have a restaurant and bar onsite with a full food and drinks menu and afternoon tea is also available.Well behaved dogs are welcome in our beer garden.
