Badminton and Gatcombe horse trials are both within easy reach. We are 24 miles from the Roman spa town of Bath and from the city of Bristol, both with their many attractions. Cheltenham races are 34 miles from the Cat.Apart from these attractions, we are in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with many wonderful walks direct from our front door. This was a unique experience within this small beautiful restaurant decorated with illuminated whiskies and modern art pieces. The service was faultless and the food exquisite. Dish after dish of beautiful flavours with explanations for the provenance of the wonderful ingredients. We left ourselves in the experienced hands of the staff who decided on the dishes and treated us to a extremely tasty and interesting evening including the choice of wine to accompany the meal. I wish we lived nearer so we could visit regularly. There is so much more to enjoy including the cocktails and the extensive whisky collection. Hopefully we can return again one day soon.
