Rengaya has been serving YAKINIKU in North Sydney since 1993, making it one of Australia’s pioneering Japanese barbeque restaurants. Now, that tradition is set to continue at its new digs on Miller Street – just a short stroll from the original location – in a much more modern, striking setting. The new fit-out features bar-counter seats around an open kitchen, red booth seating divided by Japanese-style timber panelling and a hard-to-miss chandelier. There’s also a 20-seat private dining room. We use only the finest ingredients such as Japanese Black Cattle made in Australia for beef, Sashimi and Seafood fresh from the sea.     We had a really lovely experience at zushi, the staff were really prepared with a coeliac friendly menu, gluten free soy sauce and wait staff that knew exactly what could and couldn’t be made gluten free. We will be back again.

    A wonderful dining experience with close friends. The wait staff were gracious, friendly and helpful. The 4 fish meals we had were outstanding in flavours, presentation and portions. The only complaint would be the exhorbitant wine prices, considering Australia produces excellent wine at affordable prices. Also, the delicious cocktails were served in tiny glasses. A slightly bigger glass would be appreciated. However, the food is worth a return. 🤗

    We had an absolutely gorgeous evening at Berkelo kitchen. The food was exquisite, nourishing and beautifully presented. It was served at a pace that gave the evening a sense of discovery and the wait staff, bar staff and maitre d' were all delightful.
