WC Bloomsbury, Clapham's Sister venue continues the legacy of beguiling and bewitching spaces, descending from unassuming entrances on pedestrian level in an Ex Victorian Water Closet. The Albion est un joyau géorgien depuis l'époque où Islington était constitué de champs et de terres agricoles, et où les habitués faisaient une promenade hors de la ville l'après-midi pour leur rendre visite. Le restaurant est doté d'un beau jardin qui ressemble à des endroits trouvés dans le sud de la France avec les glycines en fleur et le saule, ce qui crée une atmosphère agréable et relaxante. Dans le fond du jardin se tient une ancienne grange qui était autrefois un bar, et la rumeur est que les Sex Pistols ont joué leur premier concert dans cette grange. À l'intérieur, le feu de bois crée une ambiance agréable et chaleureuse pendant les mois froids, où vous pouvez prendre un verre ou un repas, à la fois dans leur salle à manger ou au bar. Le lieu est surtout fréquenté par des habitués de la région accompagnés de leurs chiens. De l'eau et des biscuits sont offerts gratuitement aux chiens visiteurs. Une de leur spécialités est un rôti de cochon de lait entier avec tous les accompagnements (carottes et légumes verts au beurre, pommes de terre rôties, sauce et sauce aux pommes).

To mark the 80th anniversary of the start of rationing, Jim’s Cafe and OpenTable is creating the Home Front Café, a homage to the rations that British residents survived on.OpenTable has challenged Miguel Barclay to make do and mend, designing a delicious menu that uses little or no meat, sugar, eggs and fat, that the team at Jim’s Cafe will bring to life.The Home Front Café will be open for one day on Monday 3rd February where rather than paying for the retro three course meal, guests are invited to make a donation to The Royal British Legion.
