We begin with the freshest ingredients, meat, fish and produce, all prepared to order using a combination of family recipes, as well as, recipes learned from some of Brooklyn’s oldest and well-known restaurants. We take the "traditional Creole seafood boil" to the next level. We boil our crawfish and seafood with classic Louisiana style spices along with our own secret blend of spices then top it off with your choice of one of our mouth-watering flavors. After establishing a popular seafood boil in New Jersey since 2016, we are excited to bring our concept to Metuchen with even better seasonings and guest experience.
We want Sophie's to be a place where one could have a good, hearty meal (comfort food), simple and unpretentious, at a fair price. Our goal is to produce an atmosphere where people can come for lunch, a full dinner, a late snack, a glass of wine or a big cup of coffee and feel comfortable and at home. Our menu is diverse enough for everyone, yet simple enough so the average person will not get overwhelmed with numerous menu choices and complications. Specializing in authentic coal-fired Italian pizza, antipasto and other traditional Italian dishes. We use only the freshest and finest ingredients. We also make our own mozzarella daily by hand and have a full bar!
Aunt Butchie’s, is a cafe on one side and dining room on the other. The cafe is fun and loud with a partially open kitchen. Breads, cookies, cakes, & pastries line a wall near the main entrance. The opposite side of the cafe has a colorful array of prepared food platters behind a sleek showcase.
The dining room has a warm and inviting atmosphere, as well as a full service bar. The dining room accommodates up to 120 people and is available for private parties.
Aunt Butchie’s is not only a cafe that offers cakes and coffee and prepared food, but we also have a full restaurant featuring a variety of Italian specialties.
