South Block is a North-Carolina inspired BBQ hall and brewery on the edge of Mission, in Calgary. Upstairs you’ll find a large dining room, 20-seat bar, and a year-round indoor/outdoor beer garden. Downstairs hosts our stage, live music hall, and brewerey – where we brew our entire draft lineup from classic staples like our Pilsner, Lager, and IPAs, to our unique seasonal Peach Bourbon Ale and Mango Wheat Ale.Behind the bar, we run a hand-crafted cocktail program and offer a whiskey list of over 200 varietals, including American, Canadian, Irish, Scottish, and Japanese whiskeys.However, the biggest draw has to be our slow-smoked barbecue menu. Inspired by the flavours of North Carolina, our team arrives early every morning to smoke our famous brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and more for up to 14 hours.
Vin Room is Calgary's premier wine bar offering over 100 wines by the taste. With the help of the Enomatic Wine Preservation System, we can guarantee variety and freshness as well. Our wines are complemented by our tapas menu, focusing on fresh, local ingredients with a global twist. We offer tapas that are seasonal, wine focused and flavorful. Vin Room was one of Enroute Magazine's Top 25 Hot Spots in Canada, an Open Table Diner’s Choice Award Recipient, and received a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for three years in a row.
