Le Scalini Fedeli a été ouvert en 1995 par le chef et propriétaire Michael Cetrulo, et est rapidement devenu le restaurant italien le mieux noté du New Jersey. Évalué comme excellent par le New York Times en 1996 et meilleur restaurant du New Jersey par le Zagat Survey en 2001, le restaurant figure également dans les 25 meilleurs restaurants italiens en 2007 au New Jersey Monthly. Le menu propose des raviolis aux œufs à la coque et au beurre de truffe noire, du saumon en croûte de pignolis aux artichauts, des agnolottis farcis à la menthe au bouillon de basilique et de tomate, ainsi que des plats-de-côtes braisés au poivron rouge et au glaçage de porto. Aménagé dans un bâtiment historique construit en 1740, le restaurant présente une atmosphère légèrement formelle, avec des plafonds voûtés de style toscan agrémentés de plâtre vénitien.
