La Palombe is a new neighbourhood bistro from restaurateur James Chiavarini (also of Il Portico) & chef patron Jake Leach (previously head chef at the three Michelin starred The Ledbury).A large wood burning grill takes center stage where the majority of the dishes are cooked over live embers. James & Jake work together every shift to serve dishes with a real sense of terroir and provenance, including our speciality of wild foods foraged ourselves. Excellent concept le partage des plats japonais et italiens. Le service a été parfait au départ puis inexistant à la fin , c’est bien dommage pour ce prix!

L’accueil était globalement chaleureux, mais une partie du personnel s’est montré très froid. Mention spéciale au serveur qui nous a servi le champagne : il ne nous a ni regardés, ni salués, et n’a échangé aucun mot, ce qui a terni l’expérience. Côté nourriture, c’était très satisfaisant dans l’ensemble, hormis la pâtisserie qui était trop gélatineuse à mon goût. Malgré ces points négatifs, nous avons tout de même passé un bon moment.
