Rengaya has been serving YAKINIKU in North Sydney since 1993, making it one of Australia’s pioneering Japanese barbeque restaurants. Now, that tradition is set to continue at its new digs on Miller Street – just a short stroll from the original location – in a much more modern, striking setting. The new fit-out features bar-counter seats around an open kitchen, red booth seating divided by Japanese-style timber panelling and a hard-to-miss chandelier.     We were there to celebrate my wife’s birthday with other members of the family and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. All the entrees were delicious and everyone was happy with the main courses. Friendly service, ambience and water views make this an outstanding venue. Thankyou.

    Booked online, at first I was confused with the time slot that was available. On arrival the restaurant wasn’t overly busy. However the food & service soon made up for the time slot.

    From the moment of entry, we were warmly greeted and taken to a superbly set table with an amazing view. The warm towel on arrival was an amazing touch. The menu was described very clearly. No words can describe the exceptional food. Presentation and taste, were incredible. All staff were very well trained and nothing was too much trouble for them. The 4 of us, would absolutely recommend this awesome restaurant and will definitely be going back.

    Amazing food, the team continue to refine their menu and even the same dishes continue to get improved. Loved the beef tartare and chicken Maryland. Super friendly service
