The first Braybrook Hotel is thought to have been erected around 1854, possibly in response to the demand from travellers to the gold fields. However, the earliest rate record found for this building was in 1863-4 when Charles Niven Young was the licensee and John Lang was the owner. My husband and I came here for our first wedding anniversary to try something new. We had the plant based dumpling collection plus two salmon dumplings and were surprisingly satisfied without being overfull. Each dumpling came with its own dipping sauce and there was an additional chili oil. Everything we had was high quality, delicious and worth the price for something special. The restaurant only seats 8 people but we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves which was so nice for the occasion.
