Elizabeth et moi avons été très heureux d'ouvrir notre restaurant dans le centre-ville de Stuart. Après des années passées à visiter nos parents, nos cœurs nous ont amenés à revenir ici chaque fois que nous avons considéré un emplacement différent. Notre fils Taylor (le chef de cuisine) et moi avons tous deux une éducation culinaire et tous les trois, nous sommes extrêmement passionnés par la bonne nourriture, les boissons de qualité et l'hospitalité. Nous aimons réellement prendre grand soin de nos clients. « The Gafford » tire son nom de mes grands-parents qui nous ont appris à profiter de la vie, à avoir du plaisir et à rire (surtout de nous-mêmes). Mon grand-père était dans l'armée de l'air et dans le secteur de l'hospitalité toute sa vie et il m'a beaucoup appris au sujet des affaires, de la cuisine et de l'hospitalité. Je me souviens quand j'étais jeune et que j'allais rendre visite à mes grands-parents à leur ferme. Mon grand-père me montrait comment utiliser un gril. Mon plat préféré à cuisiner avec lui était un énorme bifteck de faux-filet. Sur notre menu, c'est notre plat fétiche et il s'appelle le « Gafford ».
