Le Scalini Fedeli a été ouvert en 1995 par le chef et propriétaire Michael Cetrulo, et est rapidement devenu le restaurant italien le mieux noté du New Jersey. Évalué comme excellent par le New York Times en 1996 et meilleur restaurant du New Jersey par le Zagat Survey en 2001, le restaurant figure également dans les 25 meilleurs restaurants italiens en 2007 au New Jersey Monthly.
